Slime Care Guide

SLIME CARE

Thank you so much for your purchase! Slimes may melt or stiffen during transit. Use the directions below to fix them :)

★ My slime is sticky. What should I do?

☆ Included in every slime order is a baggie of borax and citric acid. If your slime is sticky, measure out 1/4 tsp of borax. Mix the borax into 1/4 cup of warm water until completely dissolved. Wait for borax solution to cool completely. Drop by drop, add this solution to the sticky slime. After each 2-3 drops, knead the slime until the solution is completely incorporated. Add more drops of borax solution until desired consistency is reached.

★ My slime is stiff. What should I do?

☆ Included in every slime order is a baggie of borax and citric acid. If your slime is hard, measure out 1/4 tsp of citric acid. Mix the citric acid into 1/4 cup of warm water until completely dissolved. Wait for citric acid solution to cool completely. Drop by drop, add this solution to the stiff slime. After each 2-3 drops, knead the slime until the solution is completely incorporated. Add more drops of citric acid solution until desired consistency is reached

★ You can also choose to follow the tips below to create a better (and less sticky) slime experience:

- Wash your hands before playing with the slime. If we eat an orange and then play with slime, it can cause residue to melt the slime onto our hands (because of the citric acid component in oranges and more.)

- Apply lotion to your hands before using slime. Some slimes tend to stick to dryer areas of the hands such as knuckles and wrists. Using hand lotion will prevent this.
